SPOILER: A little more on Teddy.

Fancast’s Matt Webb Mitovich has been on a roll with Greys gosspi today. Here is what he has to say on the upcoming story with Owen/Cristina and an old friend.
Got anything on Kim Raver’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ role? As a hardcore Owen/Cristina ’shipper, the idea that she is a possible love interest for Owen makes me nauseous. I don’t know what Shonda & Co. are up to, but I’m really freaking out. – Tara
And I’m not sure this will calm you down. As part of my in-depth interview with Rhimes, she confirmed that Owen has known Raver’s Dr. Teddy Altman “for a while,” ever since they served together in Iraq. There, Owen and Teddy “had a friendship,” Rhimes teased, “and we’re going to see what happens when she shows up at the hospital.” (War vet docs reunited Stateside? Ominous words to the 16 of you who watch NBC’s ‘Mercy.’) Oh, and Teddy is a cardiothoracic surgeon who will mentor Owen’s current honey, Cristina. (Salt! Wound!) Shonda and Co are really annoying. Owen and Cristina are the best thing on GA right now.Hope the writers are considering the dwindling fans. Many came back last year because of this couple and trust me, they are on the verge of losing them again. If you take the romance away from Hunt/Yang, this series is done!
I agree 1,000% with everything you said. I can’t get enough of Kevin McKidd and his pairing with Cristina was the ONLY–yes, ONLY–reason I continued watching beyond season 4. Right now, I’m feeling a bit ripped-off by the writers. I feel like they’ve set us up for nothing.

I know what you mean. There has been no Owina love these past few episodes, just cold and weird career fighting. I don’t like it. I’m a big fan of Owina and I want to see them get some action!!! IN A GOOD WAY!
Bad action is not what I want to see.
I’m hoping that Kim Ravers character turns out to be interested in teaching cristina and staying away from Owen!

Season 6 has none of the romance and drama that Season 5 had. Shonda and Co., take heed. 4 episodes of boring Owina is making them lose screen chemistry. If they go – I go ( no matter how good your writing is).
