Of course when you see the name Ausiello you know that some pretty awesome spoilers are on the way. And this week there was no exception. Beneath the cut are not one, but two spoilers. Yes two! I love it when he gives us more than one thing to mull over.
One of the spoilers I will admit did provoke a strong reaction in me, which those of you who read them will get my reaction at the bottom. So, without futher ado, I give you Ausiello…
Question: Is Izzie really pregnant on Grey’s Anatomy? —Elle
Ausiello: I’ll say this: ABC’s promo gurus are very sneaky! While we’re on the subject of Katherine Heigl, sources confirm to me exclusively that she’s taking another leave of absence from Grey’s — but this time her reasons are personal not professional. Heigl will be going on a belated maternity leave to spend some QT with new daughter Naleigh. As a result, Izzie will be MIA for another string of episodes (most likely in early 2010.)Question: Please tell me something will happen soon on Grey’s Anatomy that will make me stop hating the Chief! —Ann

So, wanna hear why I had to message Aussie Lee and vent? Of course you do.
Its no secret I am not a member of the Izzie fan club. My question is, why bring Izzie back if Katherine Heigl is going to be absent for most of the season? While its awesome she wants to spend time with her daughter, I am taking a wild guess that it was a planned thing… So if it is planned, why come back? The Izzie fans that missed her in the 5 episodes will miss her for however many more. More drama for Alex. More tweets to Shonda asking why? Making her more stressed! It just seems silly to me.
That is just my opinion. Feel free to burn me at the stake below.

hmm interesting. I wonder if this “falling off the wagon” thing has anything to do with him previously being an alcoholic? Maybe he is going to start drinking again?
I might actually feel bad for the chief if that happens. I mean he has been acting like a douche for the entire season, but this might indicate that he has lost control and he doesn’t know what to do anymore….or maybe I am over-reaching and speculating a bit too much.

i am completely with u about not being part of the izzie fan club….but u have to admit, she definitely stirs up the offscreen drama, and any publicity is good publicity. but really, at a certain point enough is enough, i wonder if she’ll even bother to come on for the 7th season.

@Metriosity, LOL oh wow, i was trying not to be too harsh but really ur comment pretty much sums up my feelings about her as well! I feel bad for Alex though…and i really dont want to see him with that annoying Reed girl

does it make me a terrible person if i do a little happy dance becuase Izzie’s going away again? I don’t mind the character but when she’s on it jsut feels like everyone else has to take a back seat to all her drama.

I have always loved Izzie but her not being in the show for a little bit has been like a breathe of fresh air! I thought I would care but I have not missed her at all and I feel so bad! And I agree that she should just leave the show if she is just going to take so much time off.

Just seeing in Izzie in the promos annoys me, so I for one am glad she’ll be gone again. Less Izzie is fine with me. But I completely agree. Why even bring her back at all? And why does KH still want to even be on the show? I mean she keeps taking leaves of abscence. It seems like she doesn’t really want to be there. I don’t want to speak for her or anything but it just seems weird. Why come back? And yes, poor Shonda, is really going to start hearing it now, and the sad thing is, its not even her fault.

YAYY Izzie is going away for more episodes, now that makes me happy
. I don’t think Alex and Izzie are going to stay together, now that she is going to miss episodes again.

I for one miss Izzie
She’s my favourite character and I really really hope she’ll be back for good after her maternity leave. For Alex’s sake.

Now i’m kinda sad that izzie is going to be gone, again. She is my favorite character. Todays episode is all i can think about. i am so excited for her to be back. Plus I just want her to sort things through with Alex cause they are my favorite couple.
Maybe when the chief “falls off the wagon,” he rehires izzie or something like that. i hope so!
