New Ausiello Scoop

This ones on Mer/Der… read below at your own risk!

greys-anatomy_l

With new mom Ellen Pompeo firmly entrenched back at Grey’s Anatomy, the show is moving Derek and Meredith back where they belong: front and center. That’s the good news. Here comes the bad…

“They will face some relationship challenges, many of them work-oriented, in the second half of the season,” reveals exec producer Shonda Rhimes.
The Queen of Shondaland, however, insists that this latest obstacle will not result in the newly married-via-Post-It pair breaking up — a rumor that has been making the rounds on the Internets (and stirring Der-Mer fans into a veritable frenzy). “I don’t know how many times [I] can say, ‘Derek and Meredith are together forever’ and have anybody hear it,” she sighs. “I can only reassure so much.

“In order to [produce] a drama you need to have some drama,” Rhimes adds with a laugh. “Whether or not two people are meant for one another doesn’t mean that things aren’t going to happen to challenge their relationship.”

Makes sense to me! What say you, ’shippers? Are you cool with Mer-Der encountering a few bumps en route to their inevitable happy ending? Or would you prefer that they stay boring happy? And did you hear Shonda this time re: the whole “not breaking up” thing? Sound off below!

Ow, Mer/Der certainly deserve a “happily ever after”, even with some troubles on their way. That’s what happen to all couple in the world, they always have problems and difficult situations to deal with. But the important thing is that they’ll stay together, no matter what! I’m happy for them!^^
And I don’t mind the drama AT ALL. That’s why I love Grey’s anatomy in the first place!

I’m with Shonda. It’s ok to have a few obstacles. No relationship is perfect and when they are, they are boring. So, yes to drama. Especially since she said HERSELF that they’re together for good! ;-)

YEY! DRAMA! I can’t wait. I love MerDer drama. Any true MerDer fan and a fan of Grey’s knows for sure they aren’t breaking up. Duh. Forever means forever. I believe Shonda when she says that. MerDer are the only one’s she’s said that about so yeah. WOOH!

As for the drama… bring it on. We all know that no matter what happens MerDer will be awesome. After all, they are extraordinary together, rather than ordinary apart. :) They can get through anything, since they’ve already been through their share of internal and external battles. I have nothing but faith in them and in Shonda.

    Drama… BRING IT ON! :D

    @Maddie, EXACTLY! :D wonderfully said.

i think drama is great. it brings more to the show.
and i DO believe that they will stay together. shonda says they will, so they will. people really don’t need to worry about that.

and drama always leads to better things afterward :)

Shonda’s mind say the people is happy so the people is boring, this is a bad idea, two persons love so they destined to suffer. The obstacles of the heart…i ‘m disappointing because she speaks us of credible…a post-it is credibile.I have not more words. This i’ waiting so much happyness to bear a drama…

Drama is good! the show is became a big hit because of it, and because of mer/der and we didn\’t see alot of them lately so we need some more of the (happy) post-it married couple.
Actually does anyone noes of there\’s gonna be a real marriage? or are they already married in law or something?
