Hey Gabblers!
So here is short but sweet interview with Kevin McKidd sourced from the NY Post, in which he chats about the Call of Duty video game and Rome. Check it out below!
NY Post sat down with actor Kevin McKidd to talk about some of his potential upcoming projects, including big screen versions of the “Call of Duty” video game and “Rome” series.
Last month, Activision Blizzard filed to protect the trademark “Call of Duty” in relation to movies. McKidd, who voiced Captain “Soap” MacTavish in the “Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2″ game, has now confirmed that the company is serious about bringing the popular franchise to the big screen.
“They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn’t get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film,” he said, adding that he would love to be apart of it. “If the script is good, and Gerard isn’t available [laughs], then absolutely.”
And regarding “Rome,” McKidd said: “There is a script that is being shopped and it’s supposedly very good, I haven’t seen it, but I am definitely going to be a part of the movie.”
He went on to say that his character, soldier/politician Lucius Vorenus, is not dead despite what happened in the show. “He very much alive, so that should be a fun story to tell.” (source)
Till next time,
