To be or not to be….

… that seems to be the current question regarding the showing of the Calzona love! I know there were MANY fans disappointed, me included three times over, about the lack of screen time in the Holidaze epi for Calzona which may have caused a bit of a Twitter itch for Shonda Rhimes. Who really knows but I am hopeful for her latest twitter. Actually change that to ‘cautiously’ hopeful. Read on below!

Last nights episode was such a let down on so many levels but so much more because of the lack of Callie and Arizona TOGETHER.Yes, the only scene they had was very cute, but that was it?Not to mention where the heck was Callie for the last 30 mins. of it? Its the holidays(supposedly),but it just didn’t feel that way. I’m umm … hopeful? or rather i was.. but now Shonda as let me down so much i don’t want to get my hopes up again. Oh well, so much for the EPIC holiday episode we were waiting ALL week for, and now we have to wait almost 2 months for them to come back. Crossing my fingers they come back with something awesome and hopefully she stays true to her word with more Calzone!

My possitivity went missing with that staged kiss. Anything Shonda tweets from now on will be taken with a gallon of salt and sea water.
If last episode Calzona was cute, I sure hell fear what hot looks like. Which is what Shonda said. She tweeted “cute” Calzona moment, Not HOT. O/C was supposed to be hot.

I thought Calzona was waaaay too forced this ep. The kiss was just awkward to watch. It’s like they just added it in because of the hating Shonda gets from fans.

Well, I was a little disappointed with the kiss at first, but after watching it repeatedly on You Tube for like million time, I now find it cute and have a whole explanation in my head about the lack of other romantic Calzona scenes, not only in this week episode, but in this season in general. Yeah, that’s what crazy fans do to accept things like that, we imagine and speculate. Fine.
This time I won’t get expectation. Or at least I’ll try not to. We have two months before us to wait for Grey’s Anatomy to come back. If we keep on thinking about hot Calzona scenes that Shonda promised us, for this time long, we all go crazy for good! And we won’t be satisfied with whatever she shows us next year. Let’s just keep our expectation low; then whatever we have, it’ll be good enough.

I love how she says “wait for it”! LOL.
We have to wait almost two freakin’ months!!! Why didn’t we get what she promised in her 1st tweet about them kissing?
The holidays are all about being with the one you love and this was their 1st one together and all we got was one scene together and one quick kiss:(

i think what is most disturbing is the reason there isn’t any intimacy. if it fit with the storyline, i could accept it but there have been so many situations where any “traditional” couple would kiss, hug or show intimacy and Calzona have been denied that opportunity because they’re a gay couple.
i’m sure shonda has limited control over the issue. i think the studio bosses are calling the shots on this one.

@laurieb, i agree so much with this. Moments where a couple not only would hug or kiss, but SHOULD, it comes off as so cold that they don’t. So much so I think “Does Callie even WANT to kiss her?”. Anyway, that wasn’t cute Callie Arizona kissing, it was a kiss. One. What Derek and Meredith do is kissing. What christina and Owen do is kissing (and more), what every other couple on this show do, is called kissing. This was a kiss. And yes a very forced one at that. This isn’t nitpicking either, if you have a couple on a show and they’re supposed to be in love (newly even), they should show it like every other couple does. Bleh, as you can see I’m starting to get annoyed.

i was just as disappointed with the amount of Calzone in this episode. I mean, sure, some doctors have to work. But does it have to be Callie?! They didn’t show her in any of the holiday scenes. It would have made more sense if they would have said she was away visiting her family. As for the one and only kiss, it was at an awkward moment, but cute either way. Now bring on the HOT Calzone moments! I can’t believe we have to wait 8 weeks for it though!
I am rather impatient 
i just hope that she doesn’t build up our hopes by tweeting about good scenes coming up, to then only disappoint us again.

i gave up. sorry i cant help you look for that positivity. i dont know why it has to be so difficult. its actually pretty sad. and i have no stinkin’ patience. cuz callie cant even have a nice holiday dinner with arizona meanwhile yang has her legs wrapped around owen going in for the kill, dammit! im too invested in this show… i’m gonna go cool off now…LoL

What are you complaining about? There was hardly any kissing by anyone in the latest epi…only Chris/Owen…& it was pretty gross!

@everyone! ITA with all your comments… but especially @ole grey mer… I think you hit the nail on the preverbial head here.
Any ‘great’ holiday lurve was missed for all of the couples on the show and I found the Owina loving too over the top for me. The whole, however long it was episode, was just too fast and too wishy washy as well.
But hey that’s just my opinion.
