Hey Gabblers! As part of Chandra Wilson’s involvement in the Downy’s Touch of Comfort program, Chandra paid a visit to Levine Hospital to hand out quilts. Check out the story below!
Viewers of ABC’s hit drama “Gray’s Anatomy” will recognize Chandra Wilson from her role as the tough, no-nonsense Dr. Miranda Bailey, but a recent visit to Levine Children’s Hospital showed the real-life softer side of the actress.Wilson visited the hospital as part of Downy’s Touch of Comfort program, delivering handmade quilts to children having to spend time in the hospital.The quilts were no ordinary wraps, either. The quilters found out the colors the individual children liked and what themes interested them and wove those into the designs.Interviewed during her visit, Wilson said, “We just want to put a smile on the face of some of the kids while they have their stay here.”The quilts were created by Quilts for Kids, which in partnership with Downy is delivering them to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
