TR Knight Drops out of Broadway Production.

By Aussie Lee | January 3, 2010 |

So for reasons seemingly unknown to everyone, TR Knight has dropped out of the Broadway production Lend Me A Tenor, and has been replaced by Justin Bartha from The Hangover.   Check out the full story below…

Grey’s Anatomy former star T.R. Knight is leaving the Broadway Show Lend Me a Tenor before his first appearance, according to Variety and Broadway.com .  Seattle – is George O’Malley headed back to Seattle Grace Hospital?

Rumored to be taking T.R. Knight’s place as “Max” in Lend Me a Tenor is The Hangover star Justin Bartha (also Ashley Olsen’s main squeeze).  Justin has been in the following noteworthy films: The Hangover, Gigli, Studio 54, National Treasure, Failure to Launch, The Rebound and Trust the Man.

If the rumor is true, Justin will open in preview performances of Lend Me a Tenor on March 11, 2010.  Scheduled official opening date on Broadway is April 4, 2010.  Lend Me a Tenor will play in New York City’s famed Music Box Theatre (239 W. 54th St., New York, NY 10036).

Other stars scheduled to open on Broadway in Lend Me a Tenor are: Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Jan Maxwell, Brooke Adams, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson and Jay Klaitz. (source)

Ok so why do you think he dropped out… a return to Grey’s Anatomy?  I seriously doubt it and well personally, I just can’t picture him back in the show.. at all.  Is that bad?

Till next time,

George is dead so how can he return ?

Unless Greys is doing another ‘I see dead people’ storyline with Izzie again.

I doubt that he will be invited back.
If he did, it wouldn’t be “seeing dead ppl”
it could be related to the flashback line up of stories.
It could be a “what if” story line.
“What if” Izzie & George stayed together… “what if” George wasn’t sent home early & was hit by the bus.
But these are wayyy too far fetched for Shonda
    nor are they unique.
So, may George rest in peace & TJ Knight be happy where ever he is with his career.

Hmm I wonder why he quit, sounds like he’s going through a bad time in his life, poor TR I hope he finds his wazy soon.

I hope he will not be coming on Grey’s again as bad as it sounds. He is dead and I personally don’t like to have another dead people storyline again.

Awww Poor T.R. I hope everythings going ok. I <3 me some Theodore Raymond.

They said TR couldn’t do it some place else. That is what Stanley Tucci said, so I guess he ahs other projects going on. There are rumors he can’t do it because he is prepping for Parade to go to Broadway. Find his way? The man was seen recently with Ellen, Katie and Kate and looked pretty happy to me.

I don’t think he would ever want to go back to that crapfest that is Grey. I couldn’t imagine George in the show anymore because everyone else is so unlikable and George would be the only likable character.

I haven’t watched since he died. He was the one remaining good thing on the show.

And his name is TR, not TJ.
