Kim Raver is a Series Regular!

Well you read it people! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kim Raver has been bumped up to series regular on Grey’s Anatomy this season!! She will be in all but one of the remaining episodes, crazy right??! Read below for more details!
Kim Raver is taking up permanent residence at Seattle Grace.
Raver has been upped to a regular on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” only two months after she joined the medical drama as a recurring character.
The “Lipstick Jungle” star made her debut in the ninth episode of “Grey’s'” current sixth season, playing Teddy Altman, a new cardio surgeon brought in by her former Army colleague Owen (Kevin McKidd). She quickly stirred things up by professing her feelings for Owen, laying the groundwork for a love triangle with him and Christina (Sandra Oh).
Raver is expected to appear in all but one of the show’s remaining episodes this season.
In becoming a regular, Raver joins two other recent additions to “Grey’s,” McKidd and Jessica Capshaw, who started off as recurring on the medical drama last season before being promoted to regulars.
Raver, whose series credits include “24″ and “The Nine,” is repped by WME and Mosaic.

Alright so my first reaction was to be scared…I mean she loves Owen who is in my favorite couple and that could cause problems. But then I thought that even though she loves him, she was still very mature about him dating Cristina and for months did not try to go after him. She did admit fully in the last episode how much she loved him but when he said he loved Cristina, Teddy was upset but she did not take it out on Cristina.
I really do feel like she will be a great addition to the cast and she is absolutely wonderful for Cristina. Cristina is my girl and I want her to be happy and Teddy can give her a lot of happiness at work. Teddy is a great teacher and she does not let her personal problems get in the way of teaching Cristina, even though she is obviously jealous that Cristina is with Owen, she does not take it out on her. I respect that and I respect Teddy.
I feel that maybe she will be another Addison, she will at first be a threat and then she will get her own storylines. I always loved Addie and I do like Teddy. I have a few rules though that she should continue mentoring Cristina, leave Owen alone and find somebody else who she could love. 
She deserves happiness too!
Okay sorry for that rant but what do you all think about this news??!! It is very crazy that after only two episodes she has been made a series regular, this is huge news!! We are still waiting for official word from ABC however. Comment below all your feelings on this epic news and I look forward to reading your opinions on this

it kind of bugs that Capshaw waited forever to find out if she would be a regular, but raver does two eps and is now a regular? Her story line sucks so far…

Cannot stand the character, and do not think much of the actress either.
Besides, the cast is already too large. How much screentime do every character get?
I am not happy about this decision and only hope that Shonda has the common sense not to do much damage to Owen and Cristina. She is on the verge of ruining Owen’s character, and that would be a pity.
Still I am trying to keep the faith

Great point! The cast is way to large! They saved the show with McKidd and Capshaw now it feels like its getting lost again with the Mercy West cast and now Raver…ugh…

So let me get this straight… it took them way too much time to make Owen/KMK and Arizona/JCap regulars, two people who were loved by the fans after their first episodes already, and a character that is hated by a lot and causes misery gets bumped up to series regular so quickly?

As much as I do like Kim Raver and her character Teddy, it is annoying that JCap and KMK had to wait to become regulars, especially JCap.

YEY! Another great addition to the cast. Now they can get rid of the people who play Charlie and Reed and it will be perfection
I love Kim as Teddy. She’s so great. I was practically cheering by the end of the episode she first appeared on. That said, for all the CO fans… I’m worried for you. But, I do have faith. So maybe it won’t be a disaster for you. That said, I’m partial to finding out what Cristina and Jackson would be like… and I’m still wondering when and if that will come up before the season ends. EEP!
But… anywho. We’ll just have to “wait and see”
I can’t wait to see more of Teddy though. Kim Raver is kick ass!
@MadiLovesMerDer, What makes you think they’ll get rid of the Mercy West people because Kim Raver has been made a regular? The cast bloat always increases, not the other way around
@Jenny, LOL… I am just hoping they get rid of them. It’s not like I know if they will. It’s just a wish of mine. The only one who can stay is Jackson (pretty eyes) Avery. Because, he’s too pretty to let go

This is not good news! I can’t believe that they would make her a regular after only 2 episodes. Hopefully, she is only going to be Cristina’s mentor and have her own love storyline away from C/O. I wonder if another regular is leaving after this season. Otherwise, why do they keep adding to the regular cast?

That’s terrible news. Not even because of what it might mean for Cristina and Owen, but because it is simply unnecessary. The cast is already about 5 members too big. The writers have already stopped writing for most of the original cast members for the sake of the boring new ones. I find the Teddy character likeable, but I don’t find her remotely interesting. I feel like she’s gonna be the next screentime hogger, together with Arizona and Lexie….how boring.

WHAT? Until I hear it from ABC I won´t believe it. I think that someone is leaving this season and I think it´s Heigle. Or maybe Mark is going to PP.
I´m not worried about the trouble for CO, but I am worried about the lack of screentime for the cast.It seems that every season they bring two new characters on board.Enough is enough. It´s a pity that having someone like Sandra Oh or other good actors, they don´t use them enough.
I think I´ll just watch CO clips on youtube from now on. I don´t care about Mark, Lexie, Arizona, Teddy, Bailey and her new love interest!

I love it! Great news! I like the freshness her character brings. I know that people are nervous that she will break up Owen and Christina but I read somewhere (I think on E!) that she said Teddy was with Owen when he was engaged in Iraq and did nothing and so felt she would respect his relationship with Christina also.
