The Top 20 Shows in the 2000′s!
By Aussie Lee | January 5, 2010 | ![]()
Lists everywhere… about everything Grey’s Anatomy related… and we are loving it!! So here’s another.. this time from Matt Roush @ TV Guide Magazine where he lists The 2000′s: 20 shows to remember! And who would be on that list you ask?? Well yes of course.. Grey’s Anatomy!! Check it out below!
In looking back at one of the most tumultuous and game-changing decades in TV history, when how and where we watched (on DVRs, computers, cable and satellite) seemed at times to matter as much as what we watched, compiling a “best of” list presents a special challenge. The following list—of 20 shows, in honor of the 2000s—highlights programs that represent the best of TV in the last 10 years, while also making room for a few shows from a genre whose cultural impact (and, to be quite honest, entertainment value) can’t be denied. That’s right, reality TV has to have a place in any look-back at the 2000s. So here goes with a rundown of what I classify as the most unforgettable shows of the decade:
17. Grey’s Anatomy What’s this piece of medical soap-opera fluff doing in such august company? Simple. When it works, as it did up until the Denny’s-ghost debacle (but it’s bounced back since), Grey’s is the epitome of slick, emotionally engaging watercooler TV, a no-apology guilty pleasure. Delectably blending high drama with low sex comedy delivered by an expert cast, Grey’s capitalized on ABC’s 2004-05 comeback and soon became the hottest thing in scrubs on Thursdays since ER’s long-ago heyday.
