The folks over at Sky Living sat down with Grey’s exec. producer, Betsy Beers to talk Slexie and GA season 9! Check out this snippet from the interview:
After much gossiping about Patrick Dempsey’s hair and how laughably glam the female docs are, Betsy got to the crux of our intrigue: why did McSteamy have to go too?
She told us: “It was a mutual decision – we all decided it was time. If you’re going to go out, you should go out with a bang and not a whimper, and Lexie deserved a brave, noble goodbye.
“It was very emotional and upsetting, but very fitting that she died so elegantly under really horrible circumstances. When you watched that episode, you had no idea who was going to go, which was Shonda’s intention.
